12 Hours of Post Canyon is an invite only group relay ride around the Post Canyon trail system of Hood River. While not a race, teams of between two and four riders complete as many "laps" of the course as possible in the twelve hour time limit with the sole prize being bragging rights for next year.
This annual group ride began in 2013 with a small group of riders that wanted to take their hobby and create a fun and social event for a larger group of friends to enjoy. With the help of some local businesses (listed below), the event has blossomed into a must attend ride for those with a golden ticket.
The course changes slightly each year depending on trail conditions but is generally a 13 mile loop around the Post Canyon trail system. Specific routes will be determined the week of the event. The typical loop will take riders from Post Canyon Road up Seven Streams to Family Man, through Spaghetti Factory and over Mitchell Ridge. All riders follow the same route that will be well marked.
